Instagram is a phenomenon among smart-phone photographers – allowing people to capture details of their lives and share the photos with their friends or “followers”. It works similarly to Twitter, you can “follow” people who interest you and their photos will tehn show up in your timeline. You can “like” photos and leave comments on them – it’s a kind of social photography. The app also allows you to apply creative filters or leave your photos as they were taken.
Sydney based photographer Mick Tsakis has recently been dubbed the “Instagram King” after receiving over 500 likes on some of his photos. He currently has over 2000 followers, here’s a selection of his photos, shot with an iPhone:
